Macomb Comes Up Short Against CPC

The Macomb varsity softball team went on the road on Tuesday, April 9, to face Camp Point Central. Macomb went down 4-0 fairly early on, and despite 5 runs between the 6th and 7th innings, wasn’t able to complete the comeback as CPC won the game 6-5.

Shelby Daniels put up the best offensive performance of the game for the Bombers, notching two hits, a run and a clutch RBI in the thick of Macomb’s comeback attempt. Morgan McGaughey and Reagan Emerick also had two hits for the Bombers, with McGaughey recording an RBI and Emerick scoring a run.

Macomb will look to rebound from this result when they take on Camp Point Central again at home. This game is set to be played on Thursday, April 11, and first pitch is set for 4:30 PM.
