GALESBURG – The Knox County 4-H Public Presentations Contest was held last week on March 7th at the Knox Agri Center. All six members that participated from the Knox County 4-H Club earned blue ratings for their speeches and food demonstrations.
Advancing to the state competition for their speeches are Cooper Wilt with his speech “Stanley Kubrick,” Deora Inniss with her original work called “It’s Back,” Emma Hawkinson with her speech “The Life Skills We Should Love but Tend to Lose.” Receiving alternate state delegate was Blake Meeker for his speech “Horse Vital.”
Meeker’s “Bacon Wrapped Carrots” also gave him an award for the top food demonstration that used pork as a main ingredient. The state competition will be held on June 8th at the Richland Community College in Decatur, Illinois.
