Taylor Swift makes her debut in the political world with a long caption on Instagram this week.
Swift posted a photo of herself with a caption about the importance of voting. In her post she writes, “ Please, please educate yourself on the candidates running in your state and vote based on who most closely represents your values. For a lot of us, we may never find a candidate or party with whom we agree 100% on every issue, but we have to vote anyway.”
She also discusses who she will be voting for and why she is against Marsha Blackburn.
Her social media post resulted in 65,000 people registering to vote within a couple of hours.
No matter how one feels about the topic, it is important to take away the most important message of Swift’s post -- register to vote.
Dakota Johnson is making a big impact on women and girls.
At the Global Citizen Festival she gave audience members her phone number. With it she said, “I want you to call me and tell me your story in a voicemail.”
Johnson wants to achieve a world in which women are equal and do not suffer from violence and harassment.
She also included this information on her Instagram account with a picture of her phone number written on a piece of paper.
While it is not confirmed whether it is her real phone number or a prepaid number the thought is what counts.
BACHELOR SPOILER ALERT:
During the “Ellen” show, three lucky women got to meet Colton Underwood.
One of those woman, Annie Reardon won the audience’s heart after seeming to hit it off with Underwood.
But on snapchat she reveals that dumped the star and is back to normal life without “psycho people”
We will have to wait and see in January 2019 to find out what really happened.
