Kenneth E. Hainline, 86, of Macomb went home to be with the Lord at 8:19 a.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
He was born on March 22, 1931 in Macomb to Jamison and Jennie Olson Hainline. He married Marilyn L. Foster on January 20, 1951 in Burlington, Iowa. She preceded him in death on May 19, 2008.
Surviving are four children, Kim (Dan) Redman of Howards Grove, Wisconsin, Kent (Pam) Hainline of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Pam Powelson and Kevin Hainline, both of Macomb; six grandchildren, Roger McCrary, Heather (Michael) Teaby, Hannah (Ryan) Jones, Ben (Jenny) Hainline, Jennifer Powelson and Courtney Powelson; four great-grandchildren, Renton McCrary Lopez, Laine Jones, Dylan Hainline and Paxton Jones; three nephews, Steve Andrews, Dick and Jim Hainline; one niece, Becky Honson and a very special friend, Mary A. Haney.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Hainline; his parents, Jamison and Jennie Hainline; his four sisters, Florence Andrews, Mable Silberer, Maxine Rule and Marjorie Honson; one brother, Richard Hainline; one daughter, Peggy McCrary; two nieces, Patricia Hainline and Robin Gynn, and one nephew, Jerry Andrews.
Kenneth served in the Korean War in Japan as a member of the United States Army. He also was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Macomb.
He was a lifelong provider for his family and took pride in his work. His employment included Peter Pan Bakery, Inc., Aramark Services, MidAmerica National Bank and Walmart, where he spent the last 23 years.
He was determined, passionate and a caring friend to all. He loved spending time with loved ones, hanging out with his pals at The Office (McDonald’s) and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church in Macomb with Pastor Randell Whitmire officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb with full military rites being conducted by the Macomb American Legion and Macomb VFW. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb.
