Crystal Ann Bedwell, 56, of Bushnell passed away at 2:25 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2017 at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb surrounded by family and friends.
She was born on December 22, 1961 in Canton to Carroll D. and Mary Ellen Gillette Noland. She married Daryl Bedwell on March 16, 1986. He survives.
Also surviving are her mother, Mary Ellen Noland of Littleton; one daughter, Carissa Ann (Justin) Bryant of Sciota; one son, Curtis (Chelsea) Bedwell of Bushnell; two grandchildren, Jackson Daryl Bryant and Paisley Jean Bedwell; two brothers, Mark (Teresa) Noland of Farmington and Tim (Paula) Noland of Virginia; her poodle, Ellie and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carroll D. Noland.
She lived most of her life in Bushnell. She attended VIT schools and was a class of 1980 graduate of Rushville High School. She received her Associate’s degree from Robert Morris College in Carthage. She worked for the ASCS office, LeRoy Brown and Dr. Gary Crosby. She spent most of her working years alongside her husband as office manager of their business, Bedwell Farm Equipment. She also sold real estate in Bushnell for 30 years. She was a pageant judge for several community fairs, was an election judge for Walnut Grove Township, donated and volunteered her time in her community and for community projects and gave her time and financial assistance to many underprivileged students and their families.
Her most important and favorite job was being a Mom and Grammy. She was the backbone and coordinator of her family. She was an excellent artist and loved working on the farm, gardening and taking care of her horses.
She was a member of Bushnell United Methodist Church, Bushnell-Prairie City School Board, MDH Hospital Board and the Christian Neighbor’s Food Cupboard.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb with Reverend Dr. Howard White officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Burial will be in Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville.
