Tommy G. Mendenhall, 69, of Macomb, passed away at 6:30 PM Friday Feb. 3, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, Iowa.
He was born Dec. 4, 1947 in Macomb, Illinois to Keith and Rosalea Evelyn Sims Mendenhall; he married Rosemary Freeman on Aug 29, 1965. She survives.
Also surviving are his children; Lori (Rod) Green, Angela (Steve) Barker, Christopher Keith (Theresa) Mendenhall, Tim Mendenhall, Jon Mendenhall all of Macomb; 4 grandchildren, Rodney Green, Brian (Stephanie) Green, Zachery Green, Brooke Baker; 2 great-grandchildren Nicholas and Bradley Green.
He was preceded in death by a daughter; Kimberly Mendenhall and a great-grandson Brian Green.
He was a Farmer and Truck Driver and member of St. Paul Church. Tom worked many years over the road to provide for his family.  His greatest pride in life was his family he was proud of all his children and what they have accomplished in their life.  His love for his grandchildren was undeniable with his special relationship with Brooke to his pride in what the other grandchildren were doing in their life.  
Tom's home life is where he was the happiest, weather it was helping to fix something, to build something, or help someone else out.  He could always be found with one of his dogs near him, watching one of his favorite British comedies, and enjoying visits from everyone who stopped by.
Memorial Mass will be at 10 AM Saturday Feb. 11, 2017 at St. Paul Church. Father Adam Stimpson will officiate. Cremation has been accorded. There will be no visitation. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul Church or Lurie Children’s Hospital. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Please sign guestbook or leave condolences at
