Macomb Local News

Despite a rainy afternoon crews working on the Westbound lanes of Adams and Wigwam Hollow Road completed the clean up and reopened the lanes this afternoon. Traffic is back moving in the area though resurfacing work continues along Wigwam Hollow.

Trouble with the asphalt coating, something described on the Macomb Police Facebook page as an oil spill, has caused a road closure in Macomb. According to a release from the City of Macomb Public Works Department work on Wigwam Hollow Road and West Adams Street in Macomb will include the closure of the Westbound lanes in that area. Westbound traffic traveling from Wigwam Hollow Road to Meadowbrook and Georgetown are rerouted around Robin Road. There is no word yet how long the closure will be in place. If you have questions please contact that City of Macomb Public Works Department at 309-833-2821.
