A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the entire Regional Media listening area. Snow is blanketing McDonough and most surrounding counties following a front that moved in overnight, Sunday into Monday morning and we remain under that front, according to the National Weather Service, until 7 Pm Monday night. In all the storm is expected to drop between 3 to 5 inches of snow across the Regional Media listening area. The soft, powdery snow may seem harmless but with very cold temperatures it is causing some difficult areas for driving. The snow is loose and wet and in areas not yet plowed it can be dangerously slippery. Be cautious on the roads throughout Monday.
