The Western Illinois Baseball Team is holding its Sixth Annual Lead Off Dinner on January 28 at the Forum in Macomb. The fundraiser includes an auction, a prime rib dinner, and a presentation from former major league baseball player Gary Matthews. Money raised at this event goes towards funding a locker room for the WIU Baseball Program.
Doors at the Forum (124 N. Lafeyette Street) open at 3:30 p.m., with a silent auction begninning the event. The silent auction is followed by dinner at 5:00 p.m., the program a 5:30 p.m., and then closes with the live auction. Tickets are $70 for adults, and $40 for children eighth grade and under. Tables for eight guests can be reserved for $460 ($57.50 per person). VIP tables, which include two free drink tickets, VIP seating and a meet-and-greet with Matthews, are available for $600 for a group of eight.
