The Western Illinois Football and Baseball programs have released information regarding their summer camps. WIU Head Football Coach Charlie Fisher will hold prospect camps Friday June 16 and Saturday July 15. The camps are open to football players entering grades 9-12. Western Head Baseball Coach Ryan Brownlee will run camp for players ages 6-18 from June 26-30. 


The following details on the camps come via WIU Athletic Communications:


The June 16 Football Prospect Camp goes from 5:30-9 p.m. The July 15 camp runs from 1-4:30 p.m. Each camp is $50 for pre-registered participants, with a t-shirt included. Walk-up registrations will be accepted the day of the camp for $60 each.
All players are to bring a mouth piece, cleats or tennis shoes, and a helmet. Offensive and defensive linemen should also bring shoulder pads along with their helmet. The Leatherneck Baseball Camp will be broken down into four sessions: hitting (June 26), pitching (June 27), defense (June 28) and a showcase camp (June 29) to close out the week. June 30 is a rain make-up date if needed. Players between the ages of 14-18 will attend the morning session from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Ages 6-13 can show up for the morning and afternoon session (1-3 p.m.), or can choose to attend the fundamentals-only afternoon session.
The cost is $30 each day or $100 each if the camp attendee signs up for all four days in advance. Campers who attend every session will also receive a WIU Baseball t-shirt.
