Listen below to the radio broadcast of the final 3 minutes of play:
Macomb utilized a 3-2 zone for a majority of the game, something that the team does not typically do. The zone counteracted the athletic advantage that Galesburg held over Macomb, and forced the Silver Streak to become a jump shooting team. The Bombers only allowed 13 first half points, including a mere 2 in the second quarter.
Jeremy Anderson Postgame Interview:
Macomb has hit it's stride late in the season, winning 8 of its last 9 games, and 6 straight. Wednesday's foe will certainly put that streak to the test, as Normal U High is the 3 seed in the regional. The Pioneers finished 3rd in a very tough Corn Belt Conference. They're 15-11 on the year and 7-4 in conference play.
