  • On May 8, the Western Illinois University Office of Public Safety received a report that a student was sexually assaulted by a male known to her. The assault occurred in the early morning hours of May 7 in a residence hall. The Office of Public Safety is investigating the incident.

    On May 8 at 5:58 p.m. in Henninger Hall, Jasabella Clark, 18, of 916 Henninger Hall, was issued a notice to appear in court June 13​ for a Macomb City Ordinance violation for fighting in Henninger Hall.

    On May 8 at 5:59 p.m. in Henninger Hall, Arial Galloway, 20, of 1210 Bayliss Hall, and Briana Hykes, 19, of 411 Bayliss Hall, were each issued a notice to appear in court June 13 for a Macomb City ordinance violation for fighting in Henninger Hall.

    On May 8 at 10:45 p.m. OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Olson Hall. No smoke or fire was found and no injuries were reported.

    On May 9 at 4:58 p.m. a student in Bayliss Hall was judicially referred for behavior.

    On May 9 at 9:47 p.m. a student in Henninger Hall was judicially referred for trespassing.

  • On May 17 at 12:15 p.m. OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in the International House. No smoke or fire was found and no injuries were reported.

  • On May 10 at 6:20 p.m. OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Tanner Hall. No smoke or fire was found and no injuries were reported.

    On May 10 at 9:30 p.m. OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a power line and tree branch on fire at Horn Field Campus. No injuries were reported.

    On May 11 at 5:53 p.m. a student reported to OPS that he was sexually assaulted by a female known to him. The assault occurred in October 2016 in a residence hall. The Office of Public Safety is investigating the incident.

    On May 12 at 2:21 a.m. Taylor Jordan, 19, of 931 Thompson Hall, was issued a notice to appear June 13 for a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in Corbin Hall.

  • On May 5 at 3:52 a.m. Margaret Voss, 19, of 1209 Bayliss Hall, received notice to appear June 13 for a Macomb City ordinance violation for expired registration, possession of cannabis less than 10 grams, and possession of a false ID in Q-Lot. Candis Pena, 19, of 1217 Bayliss Hall, received notice to appear June 13 for a Macomb City ordinance violation for possession of a false ID.

    On May 5 at 11:32 a.m. nonstudent James Davison, 23, of Blue Island, was arrested at University Village for criminal trespass to real property. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 11:39 a.m. where he was lodged pending bond.

    On May 5 at 2:12 p.m. a University employee reported the theft of two fire extinguishers, valued at $130, from Thompson Hall. The incident is under investigation.

    On May 5 at 4:04 p.m. nonstudent James Davison, 23, of Blue Island, was arrested at University Village for criminal trespass to real property. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 4:10 p.m. where he was lodged pending bond.

    On May 5 at 9:59 p.m. Alex Tyson, 19, of 620 Henninger Hall, was issued a notice to appear June 6 for a Macomb City ordinance violation  for possession of cannabis less than 10 grams in Henninger.

    On May 6 at 4:40 a.m. the Macomb Fire Department was called to Corbin Hall following an alarm on the sixth floor. A pull station had been activated; there was no fire and no reported injuries. The incident is under investigation.

    On May 7 at 12:22 a.m. the Macomb Fire Department was called to Thompson Hall for the report of a smoke on the second floor, which was causing by a cooking mishap. There was no fire and no reported injuries.

    On May 7 at 3:34 p.m.  a student reported that his locked bicycle, valued at $200, had been stolen from the Lincoln Hall bike rack. The incident is under investigation.

    On May 7 at 3:50 p.m. a student reported that someone had stolen $25 cash from his wallet from his unlocked residence hall room. The incident is under investigation.

  • On May 3 at 11:50 a.m. OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Tanner Hall. The alarm was activated by burned popcorn and no injuries were reported.

    On May 3 at 3:48 p.m. OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Henninger Hall. The alarm was activated by burned popcorn and no injuries were reported.

    On May 3 at 4:24 p.m. three students in Henninger Hall were issued judicial referrals for failure to evacuate during a fire alarm.

    On May 4 at 12:24 p.m. a student came to Mowbray Hall to report the theft a student identification card. The incident is under investigation.

    On May 4 at 9:34 p.m. non-student Darren Miles, 23, of Romeoville, was arrested in Washington Hall for criminal trespass. He was lodged in the McDonough County Jail at 10:09 p.m. pending bond.

    On May 4 at 11:24 p.m. a student in Q-lot was judicially referred for alcohol.

  • On April 28 at 11:31 a.m. a student was judicially referred at Mowbray Hall for theft of a library book.

    On April 28 at 8:02 p.m. Connor Rektorski, 19, of 710 Bayliss Hall, was arrested in Q-Lot for reckless driving. At 8:26 p.m. non-student Kenneth Lloyd, 23, of University Park, was arrested in Q-Lot for driving while license suspended, reckless driving, no proof of insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were transported to the McDonough County Jail at 8:55 p.m. where they were lodged pending bond.

    On April 28 at 8:29 p.m. a student reported at Mowbray Hall that she was the victim of a battery in the library parking lot by a female known to known to her. The incident is under investigation.

    On April 28 at 8:30 p.m. three students in Bayliss Hall were judicially referred for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

    On April 28 at 10:18 p.m. Nathalie Castro, 20, of 1141 Thompson Hall, was issued a notice to appear May 30 for a Macomb City ordinance violation for possession of cannabis less than 10 grams in Thompson.

    On April 29 at 1 a.m. Tomasz Bydyk, 19, of 610 Henninger Hall, was issued a notice to appear May 30 for a Macomb City ordinance violation for possession of cannabis less than 10 grams in the Bay-Henn service lot.

    On April 29 at 1:21 a.m. one student in Q-Lot was judicially referred for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of a false ID.

    On April 29 at 1:44 a.m. non-students Lacey Baxter, 24, of Dolton, and Dante Perry-Arnold, 26, of Dekalb, were each issued a notice to appear May 30 for a Macomb City ordinance violation for open alcohol in public at the Bay-Hen service lot.

    On April 29 at 2:53 a.m. Natalie Mota, 19, of 1114 Henninger Hall, and Jade Robles, 19, of 1002 Bayliss Hall, were each issued a notice to appear May 30 for a Macomb City ordinance violation for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in Q-Lot.

    On April 29 at 3:08 a.m. James Corralejo, 18, of 804 Henninger Hall, was arrested in Q-Lot for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 3:14 a.m. where he was lodged pending bond.

    On April 29 at 9:07 p.m. two students in Tanner Hall were judicially referred for cannabis.

    On April 29 at 10:39 p.m. one student in Tanner Hall was judicially referred for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of cannabis. Non-student Allison Kurth, 19, of New Lenox, was issued a notice to appear May 30 for a Macomb City ordinance violation for possession of cannabis less than 10 grams.

    On April 30 at 2:07 a.m. two students in Tanner Hall were judicially referred for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

    On April 30 at 9:03 p.m. an individual in Tanner Hall reported that prescription pills were stolen from the room sometime during the day. The incident is under investigation

    On April 21 at 5:03 p.m. a student reported at Mowbray Hall the theft of a parking hang tag, valued at $50, from his unlocked vehicle in Q-Lot. The incident is under investigation.

    On April 21 at 8:49 p.m. Candice Royal, 19, of 238 Corbin Hall, was arrested in Corbin on a McDonough County warrant for failure to appear. She was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 8:56 p.m. where she was lodged pending bond.
